Narrator: Gob was recently hired by the Bluth Company's rival, Sitwell Enterprises. And although he started off well...
Gob: 52% of the country is single. That's a market that's been dominated by apartment rentals. Let's take some of that market. I call it "Single City."
Narrator: ...his ideas failed to evolve.
Gob: It's, like, "Hey, you want to go down to the whirlpool?" "Yeah, I don't have a husband." I call it "Swing City."
Stan Sitwell: Let's get into some new areas, if you don't mind.
Narrator: But Gob continued to fine-tune his first one.
Gob: How do we filter out the teases? We don't let them in. This goes for the guys, too. Because sometimes the guys are tapped out. But check your lease, man. Because you're living in *bleep* City.
Stan Sitwell: You're fired.

haha - I love this show so much. Greatest thing on TV for a long, long time.
True that. I love the expression on Gob's face when he says "'cos you're living in *bleep* city". Priceless.
"If I didn't have a live dove in my pants right now, I'd leap across the table and..."
pure gold
I've made a huge mistake...
"Oh, that’s... that’s-that’s great. The guy who’s dirty dancing with his niece is going to tell the guy in the thirty-six hundred dollar pants how to run the business. Come on!"
Just so you know, I was watching this show before it was the cool thing to do. I was there when they cancelled it at the end of season 2. So ner!

My favourite references are always re: Anne (or Egg, depending on the episode).
Her?
If we're REALLY going to play that game then I believe I was told to watch it by the lovely Bec back when season 1 (I think) was on UK TV for the first(?) time. I'll brush over the bit where I said "oh it's alright" though...
Everybody says that because they sense the lulz but don't actually fully grasp it until they watch it from the beginning or atleast watch three episodes in a row. Its the primary reason it was cancelled, twice. Although it was the greatest American sitcome ever it didn't have the stand alone appeal of Seinfeld and Fraiser.
If Kate is playing that game I've got to comment here too...
Tobias: I just blue myself.
Michael: There's gotta be a better way to say that.
On pimping out the dvds I have threatened to end friendships if they didn't come back with a favourable response.
