I know I posted Sassoon the other day but, screw it, it's Anzac Day.
Base Details
IF I were fierce, and bald, and short of breath
I'd live with scarlet Majors at the Base,
And speed glum heroes up the line to death.
You'd see me with my puffy petulant face,
Guzzling and gulping in the best hotel,
Reading the Roll of Honour.
`Poor young chap,'I'd say -- `I used to know his father well;
Yes, we've lost heavily in this last scrap.'
And when the war is done and youth stone dead,
I'd toddle safely home and die -- in bed.
(Siegfried Sassoon)

I have Memoirs Of A Foxhunting Man around here somewhere, if you cannot get enough of Sasson.
I'm more of a Vidal Sassoon fan myself.
You should read Pat Barker's Regeneration if you haven't already - can't say enough good things about it.
I'll put it on the list.
Is there anything you wanted a loan of? I can't remember who I've promised what.
Bugger I know there was something but I can't remember what... sure it will come back to me eventually though. How's Maurice coming along?
It is coming along great. It's only the finding undistracted reading time that is the problem. I should totally have finished it by now but my boyfriend is the human attention leach. I swear he has ADHD.
